The original Sims has a small set of typed cheats for money and building freedom. Which money cheat works depends on your patch version.
How to enter cheats
- Press Ctrl + Shift + C to open the cheat box at the top-left of the screen.
- Type the cheat and press Enter.
- To chain cheats, separate them with a semicolon. Typing ! repeats the last cheat.
⚠️ Before you cheat
- Moving locked objects such as the mailbox can trap Sims or break routing, so put them back when you're done.
- Back up your neighborhood folder before you edit the map.
All The Sims PC cheats
| Cheat | What it does |
|---|---|
klapaucius | Adds 1000 to your funds. This works only for versions before v1.1. |
rosebud | Adds 1000 to your funds. This works only for versions after v1.1. |
move_objects on / off | Allows locked objects (such as the postbox) to be moveable during buy mode. |
map_edit on / off | Allows you to edit the entire map. |
